Colds and flu..

This is my protocol...

1. It is important to understand that the symptoms of fever, inflammation, sinus drainage, coughing, diarrhea & vomiting are generated by the body's immune system. It is the body's way to flush out irritants. We don't want to stop this process but we can nourish the body while it is working for us.

2. When you notice something coming on, stop eating. Switch to fruit & veggie juices, soups and broths and applesauce. Add sauteed onions & garlic to chicken noodle soup.

3. As soon as possible, rest and take a warm bath with Epsom salt or a Mineral bath. It will open up the body's channels of elimination and help you to recover faster. Use a hot water bottle for chills instead of a heating blanket.

Keep on hand at all times...
Lemons in every liquid
Onions & garlic in chicken noodle soup
Epsom salt
Ginger tea, peppermint tea, detox tea

Some NSP herbal choices...
Thai Go 1/3 cup 2-3 x day
HCP-X
Elderberry Defense has echinacea, elderberries & royal jelly....great anti viral formula

If it affects your lungs, try Seasonal Defense. If your lungs tend to be weak, Cordyceps is good because it acts as a lung tonic.

If it affects the digestive tract, good choices would be HCP-X and Small Intestine Detox.

When the flu gets deeper, symptoms are fever, fever with chills, muscle ache & general weakness. At this point try IFC, Immune Stimulator, VS-C and/or Colloidal Silver.

These remedies work best 2-3 capsules every 2-3 hrs with plenty of water, teas and juices.

Autumn foods...

This is the time of year to eat apples, pears, pumpkins, sweet potatoes and squash because this is their season.

Remember this, when at all possible eat foods in their growing season. They are wonderfully healing for the body providing all the nutrients we need at this time of year. There are different minerals, enzymes and nutrients in strawberries than in pears. Eat strawberries in the summer when your body needs to cool down from the heat and pears in the fall when your body needs complex carbs to begin to keep itself warm.

Their creator determined their harvest for our benefit!

Eat applesauce, pumpkin in breads & muffins and a slice of sweet potato pie!...I suppose a pumpkin spice latte would count as 1/2 point..LOL! At least mentally!!

Amazing food...

I'm NOT saying that you can't have a cracker, cookie or ice cream...but look why it's a good idea to add these following foods to your meals a 3-5 times a week. They can be raw, cooked or steamed and dipped in Ranch dressing!

A sliced carrot looks like the human eye with a pupil, iris & radiating lines. Science now shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

A tomato has four chambers and is red. The human heart is red and has four chambers. Research shows that tomatoes are indeed pure heart and blood food.

Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart and each one looks like a blood cell. Research shows that they are a good food for our heart and blood.

A walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds are on the nut just like the neo-cortex. We now know that walnuts help develop over 3 dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys. The key here is to chew them until liquid.

Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet the body pulls it from the bones, making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

Eggplant, Avocadoes and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats 1 avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? ... It takes exactly 9 months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit.
