Organs & emotions...

Emotions come from the Latin word 'to move out'. It is emotions, not events, that cause stress related illness. The body treats everything as though it were real. It will not differentiate between reality or the thought. When we live in negative emotions, it can weaken the body and there is a general correlation between organs and emotions.

irritated bladder

resentment/bitterness gallbladder

shock heart

fear kidney

being stuck large intestine

anger liver

grief lung

being vulnerable small intestine

disgust stomach

confusion thyroid

stress adrenal

apathy & unresponsive reproductive

Positive emotions such as love, forgiveness, friendship and faith will strengthen the body.

Ask God to help you get free from living in destructive emotions so that you can get past your trauma and live life in the present with an expectation of hope for your future. Ask Him to show you where you need to change and let Him help you. He is the one who knows you inside out & has access to every moment of your life as though it were the present.

He can help you access that time and be your very present help. Our faith can cause situations in time to shift.

Many stomach & digestive related issues are a direct result of not eating the right foods, eating too fast & worry and anxiety. We tend to want to do our thing and then we'll end up worrying if everything will be alright. If you have any stomach related issues, then take the time to ask God to show you any area that you are trying to fix and work out in your own strength. Is there an area where you are stressed and worried because you don't know what to do? Let God show you a way to peace.

Here are some of my favorite products for the stomach...

Intestinal Soothe & Build is one of the best products around for people with a sensitive tummy. It soothes, stops diarrhea and keeps stools soft & regular. 2 or 3 capsules with meal

Probitoic Eleven puts good helathy bacteria back in the gut & will help aid with digestion, assimilation of nutrients, and helps produce B-12 in the body. Probiotics should always be taken after a round of antibiotics. 1 or 2 capsules before meals

CLT-X is helpful for soothing herbs that ease inflammation of the digestive tract such as colitis, Crohns, ulcers, IBS and diverticulitis. 2 with ea meal

Small Intestine Detox is designed to break down undigested proteins that may clog the small & large intestines. This product works well as part of a colon cleanse. Use for 2-4 months in a year. It contains marshmallow which is one of my 2 favorite soothers for digestive/intestinal issues...the other being slippery elm.

PLS II contains both marshmallow & slippery elm, goldenseal & fenugreek. This works good when the irritation is between your ribs. You can also open a capsule and add a little water to make a paste for swelling & minor injuries to promote healing. I used it on a bee sting on the forehead of a one yr old little girl at baseball. It was swollen and was a big red ring. Within an hour it had completely healed to an itty bitty dot.

You can use any of these for 3-4 months at first, then you should be able to use on an as needed basis when you're working through something.

Cleanses..

In the movie, The Last Emperor, the Chinese doctors regulated the young Emperor's diet by examining his stool. Today few people pay attention to this, but we can learn to maintain better health by monitoring our elimination.

If we eat 3 meals a day, we really should be having 2-3 bowel movements a day. If not we're probably constipated and could benefit from a colon cleanse. Here are some guidelines..

1. It should be easy to eliminate. If you have to strain, then you need to increase water & fiber to your diet.
2. The shape is important. Your colon is a long, narrow tube and the stool should come out in that shape. Usually they will be banana or s-shape or like a thick piece of rope. If your stool is hard, dry balls then you are dehydrated & constipated.
3. They should not float but break up on flushing. If not then you are not digesting fats properly and the gall bladder could use some nourishment.

Just as our car engines need oil changes and radiator flushes, our body needs a cleanse to clear up the accumulation of waste products so that it will run smoother & more efficient. Our elimination organs were designed for that...to eliminate, but a cleanse allows the body to cleanse its own tissues, break down old material, and eliminate it.

The best way to start this type of cleansing in the tissues is to fast. A 24 hour once per month is a good basic health building practice. For most people it is easiest to fast on juice. I recommend organic apple juice...4 oz throughout the day for 24-48 hours. Add a squirt of lemon to it.

Herbal options come in a variety of choices and these are my preferences:
2 capsules All Cell Detox or Enviro Detox 3X times day
2 capsules LBS or Gentle Move at dinner

Do this cleanse for 30 days at least once a year. Right before winter is a good time because then you will be clean and ready for the heavier foods that you will eat during the wintertime as you prepare your body to keep the fire burning & keep you warm on those chilly nights.

In all you do, give thanks!

Colds and flu..

This is my protocol...

1. It is important to understand that the symptoms of fever, inflammation, sinus drainage, coughing, diarrhea & vomiting are generated by the body's immune system. It is the body's way to flush out irritants. We don't want to stop this process but we can nourish the body while it is working for us.

2. When you notice something coming on, stop eating. Switch to fruit & veggie juices, soups and broths and applesauce. Add sauteed onions & garlic to chicken noodle soup.

3. As soon as possible, rest and take a warm bath with Epsom salt or a Mineral bath. It will open up the body's channels of elimination and help you to recover faster. Use a hot water bottle for chills instead of a heating blanket.

Keep on hand at all times...
Lemons in every liquid
Onions & garlic in chicken noodle soup
Epsom salt
Ginger tea, peppermint tea, detox tea

Some NSP herbal choices...
Thai Go 1/3 cup 2-3 x day
HCP-X
Elderberry Defense has echinacea, elderberries & royal jelly....great anti viral formula

If it affects your lungs, try Seasonal Defense. If your lungs tend to be weak, Cordyceps is good because it acts as a lung tonic.

If it affects the digestive tract, good choices would be HCP-X and Small Intestine Detox.

When the flu gets deeper, symptoms are fever, fever with chills, muscle ache & general weakness. At this point try IFC, Immune Stimulator, VS-C and/or Colloidal Silver.

These remedies work best 2-3 capsules every 2-3 hrs with plenty of water, teas and juices.

Autumn foods...

This is the time of year to eat apples, pears, pumpkins, sweet potatoes and squash because this is their season.

Remember this, when at all possible eat foods in their growing season. They are wonderfully healing for the body providing all the nutrients we need at this time of year. There are different minerals, enzymes and nutrients in strawberries than in pears. Eat strawberries in the summer when your body needs to cool down from the heat and pears in the fall when your body needs complex carbs to begin to keep itself warm.

Their creator determined their harvest for our benefit!

Eat applesauce, pumpkin in breads & muffins and a slice of sweet potato pie!...I suppose a pumpkin spice latte would count as 1/2 point..LOL! At least mentally!!

Amazing food...

I'm NOT saying that you can't have a cracker, cookie or ice cream...but look why it's a good idea to add these following foods to your meals a 3-5 times a week. They can be raw, cooked or steamed and dipped in Ranch dressing!

A sliced carrot looks like the human eye with a pupil, iris & radiating lines. Science now shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

A tomato has four chambers and is red. The human heart is red and has four chambers. Research shows that tomatoes are indeed pure heart and blood food.

Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart and each one looks like a blood cell. Research shows that they are a good food for our heart and blood.

A walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds are on the nut just like the neo-cortex. We now know that walnuts help develop over 3 dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys. The key here is to chew them until liquid.

Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet the body pulls it from the bones, making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

Eggplant, Avocadoes and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats 1 avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? ... It takes exactly 9 months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit.

Lemons...

I think lemons are one of the best foods that God created. He created them for us to use for a good purpose! He put a balance of minerals in lemons that include clacium, phosphorus & potassium and a good dose of vitamin C. Use lemons daily and they will nourish your brain, nerves, and bones.

Add the juice of a lemon to 6oz of orange juice 3x day for sore throats.
Add to water & teas (peppermint and/or ginger) when the body needs balance during cold or flu symptoms.

Squeeze lemons in water, on salads, veggies & meats.

One of the easiest ways to brighten up a room is to put a bowl of yellow lemons out for all to enjoy. You will be surprised as how it will brighten your mood & make you smile! That in itself is healing.

Amazing results from one little round yellow fruit! Something only God could do!

Welcome...

The purpose of this blog is to give you simple natural ideas & solutions for everyday health concerns. My goal is to include physical, emotional & spiritual elements in my posts.

There is an emotional aspect for all healing. It is important to check our hearts for bitterness, worry, fear & anger...to name a few...these do not lead to health but will open a door to disease if left on their own. Think of disease as dis-ease...a broken connection with ease in our life.

There is a God in Heaven that loves us and has a plan for our lives. We are His workmanship & have been created by Him for good works that will bear much fruit. We want to be healthy and full of energy to do His will! The price has been paid, so come join me on this journey...
